Universities and iPods

I read an article about how Duke University used iPods and how they figured out where the iPods are most beneficial. The article was written as a reflection of their first year of using iPods in connection with learning. Duke researchers noticed there were more benefits to using iPods with classroom learning than the traditional way of learning. Some of the benefits included a convenience for both faculty and students. It stated that using iPods reduced the dependence on physical materials. Other advantages were flexible locations, greater student engagement and easy to use tools. This link will take you to the article. http://cit.duke.edu/pdf/reports/ipod_initiative_04_05.pdf
I also found a blogspot that list ways you can use your iPod for learning and studying. This blog list a variety of programs to upload study materials to your iPod. A side from programs for your learning the blog list classroom help to aid you in keeping up with your assignments (some of need that for this class). It also supplies a list of other websites for access to more audio books and iPod learning devices. The blog states that using iPods for learning can make learning on the go easier. So now when you go for that 5 mile run you can increase your knowledge while decreasing your pant size!! Here's a link to the blog enjoy.http://the-ipod-hacker.blogspot.com/2008/02/100-ways-to-use-your-ipod-to-learn-and.html
